Account & Data Deletion

Delete your Topqer account

Last updated: October 12, 2026

This page explains how to delete an account in the Topqer app (for customers) or the Topqer Pro app (for service professionals), both published by TOPQER (PVT) LTD, and what happens to your data. You do not need to keep the app installed to request deletion.

1. Delete in the App

  1. Open the Topqer or Topqer Pro app and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
  3. Type DELETE to confirm. You are signed out immediately and your account cannot be recovered.

2. Request by Email

If you no longer have the app, email info@topqer.com from the email address registered to your account, with the subject “Account deletion request” and whether it is a Topqer or Topqer Pro account. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address. We complete deletion requests within 30 days.

3. What Is Deleted

  • Your name, email address, phone number and profile photo
  • Your saved addresses and location details
  • Photos you uploaded with service requests
  • For professionals: identity and verification documents (such as NIC, licences and certificates) and saved bank details
  • Saved payment cards (held by our payment processor, Stripe) and any active Topqer Pro subscription, which is cancelled
  • Your sign-in credentials and two-step verification phone number

If your account has no payment or job history, it is erased completely.

4. What Is Kept

If your account has payment or job history, that history is anonymised rather than erased: wallet, escrow and payment records, invoices and completed job records are kept without your name or contact details, for as long as the law requires us to keep accounting and tax records and to resolve disputes. Reviews you wrote may remain without your name. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5. Before You Delete

  • Finish or cancel any open service requests or jobs. The app tells you if anything is still open.
  • If money is left in your wallet, contact us first so we can refund unspent top-ups to your card. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
